4 Parenting Styles and me

I happened to visit other blogsites and have an idea about my next article here. I long to discuss with the readers what are their parenting styles. For my family, from my eldest daughter down to the youngest, it's always my husband, their uncles and me deciding what to do with them.According to pinay Mama, a cute blog about a best mama, the excellent parenting style that should be adapted by parents is the authoritative style rather than the other 3 styles, that were, authoritarian, permissive and the uninvolved or wish-ko-lang style.

Accordingly, the Authoritarian Parenting, children are expected to follow strict commandments and orders by their parents without questioning them. Authoritarian parents desire for discipline is so predominant that their relationship with their kids is devoid or low on affection and love. They miss out on real opportunities for guidance when the child needs it most. Children with authoritarian parents are most likely to turn to someone whom they feel loved by and do not learn to think for themselves. Maybe, yes I saw some of them my neighbors, they always rely on maids, relatives than doing the guidance and support to their children themselves.

The second style is the Authoritative Parenting." which is much democratic than authoritarian. Parents impose rules but still listen to questions. They are responsive and demanding at the same time. Their children’s self-confidence is more developed and show finer emotional control. They also appear more lively, socially responsible, assertive and cooperative. A household with authoritative style of parenting has a very good, mutually respectful and responsible relationship. This is the excellent style for parenting "according to pinay Mama.Would you agree? Some parents like me adapt a balanced guidance, listen to right idea and punishes wrong behavior,which is a must according to the Bible. I want to enforce what is strict if it concerned their behavior, education and obedience to parents and God.My husband do the same and agree. It is similar to authoritarian style if most of the parents are working and not at home.

The third style is the Permissive Parenting. Parents tend to avoid disagreements at any cost. They don’t want to interfere with their kids development and let them look after themselves. Parents want to relate to their children as peers not as parents. They do not discipline their children or seldom inflict harm because they have relatively low expectations of maturity. Children with permissive parents usually engage in attention seeking behavior and grow with no strong inner sense of discipline. Through experience, this style does not work. In order for a family relationship to work, there should be a balance guidance, discipline, love and affection.Agree? I see these kind of style from low income or poor families. Being less in food and priveleges, they think enforcing too much discipline on their children at wrong behavior is an added misfortune.

The fourth and last style is the uninvolved parenting. As the name implies, parents are uninvolved. They are irresponsible and detached from their child’s life. They often reject the needs of their children. They also have no emotional involvement and child’s supervision. Their children do not have self-control, have low self-confidence and are less competent than their friends.The children of these kind of parents maybe are addicts, jobless, and out-of-school or on their own with wife and children at miserable life.Seldom they hear guidance, discipline or they just hear words that parents are in no way intervening their decisions.As long as they can feed their own family, life go on. Or children of wealthy families got these kind of style. They often rely on talks from friends, barkadas, relatives and fellow uninvolved child. As long as their parents give them allowances to spend, grant their wishes and command, shoot!But to summarize it all, they lack spiritual,
parental love and affection,just the house and phone linking them all.It even lack Biblical guidance to worship

Chicken Dinner with Carrots and Potatoes or Spinach for Baby

As your baby gets older,esp. at 5 to 6 months old, it's time to add some variety to his meals. Here's a yummy chicken dinner that combines chicken, carrots and potatoes to make a complete meal.This can be eaten for the breakfast ,too.
I start by cooking a whole chicken in the Crockpot. Just simmer it with enough water until it is completely done and the meat is falling off the bone. You can then use some of the chicken for your baby and turn the rest into chicken salad or any other chicken dish for the rest of your family.

Alternatively you could also boil a boneless, skinless chicken breast in water until it is completely done and use it for this recipe.

Next bake a potato. You can do this in the oven or in the microwave. Cook the potato until it is soft. Allow it to cool, then cut it in half and scoop out the soft potato, leaving the skin behind.

While the meat and potato are cooking, steam a handful of baby carrots until they are very soft. Drain and reserve some of the liquid.

Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, adding liquid as needed.

Feed a portion to your baby now and freeze the rest. I like to freeze them in small containers in portions that are just large enough for one feeding.

Then, as she reached her age of 6 months, being in tight money crisis, we just have to contend with what was practicable with our meal preparation. Some meat, more

I am just a new member of Gabriela, a human rights organization fighting for the women,children,workers or OFWs cause against violence, harassment,unjust labor practices,name it and you see it. Then, came 2010 elections Composeand we at the city campaign for our senatorial candidate Liza Maza, who was unfortunately defeated together with Satur Ocampo of Bayan Muna or Kabataan partylist.Although Liza Maza did not make it to the Senate and also our Presidential bet Manny Villar(defeated by Erap Estrada and Noynoy),still the Gabrielawomen's partylist won the seat to congress.

But whoever won the power or the problem inherited by that administration, still Filipinos is in hunger. I am representing for my cooperative and the poor farmers who
might be benifited by the recent Philippines World Distribution Program even its in Mindanao. They are about to start in June 10,2010. And maybe, some other regions will benifit it too. In fact, the health effects of undernutrition are responsible for more than one-third of childhood deaths and 11 percent of the world's disease burden.
Acting before malnutrition becomes severe makes sense. It costs $40-80 per child, per year, for a complementary food intervention to prevent it. Compare that to the $200 it costs to treat just one episode of severe malnourishment.
Chronic undernourishment often results in stunting – or lower than average growth. It afflicts nearly 200 million children in the developing world (UNICEF), and many more are at risk.

DETECT EARLY SIGNS OF BREAST CANCER

Breast cancer most often begins with cells in the milk-producing ducts. Doctors call this type of breast

cancer invasive ductal carcinoma. Breast cancer may also begin in the lobules (invasive lobular

carcinoma) or cells within the breast.

Researchers have identified things that can increase your risk of breast cancer. But it's not clear why

some people who have no risk factors develop cancer, yet other people with risk factors never do. It's

likely that breast cancer is caused by a complex combination of your genetic makeup and your

environment. No matter what maybe the causes are, either inhiritance from your family, the simple

thing happened was that main cause is your production of numerous estrogens in the body( as

identified in hormone therapy or biologic therapy). And I found out from a cancer organization

educational release that so much production of your estrogen can also be reduce to treat it through

injection of proteins in your body too, to kill cancer cells and eliminate it totally.

That's the magic of science and technology! So much presence of cancer cells can be treated by

its reduction. And I also heard of effective Chinese herbal medicine for all types of cancer,

Hi there!

I invite other working mom's to post also there experience about parenting their children.You may include daily routines you usually do like me.I usually wake up in 5 A.M to cook breakfast of my four kids going to elementary,kinder and one in grade two.We have no maid.So, I get up without murmurs or did at all.

Here in Philippines, having a maid is already a luxury.A husband must have excess income of
P5,000 from basic P15,000 to have a maid.Not to our case.For me, I have to do extra job to have a maid to replace me.In an average family in the city, they usually close their house if there's no maid available.In my case, I have to go to the market, buy our viand for the day and attend to kidsall the long especially for my 3 year old son.
